Susan Northey
For Susan Northey, the Her Business Network co-ordinator for Rotorua, Tauranga and Hamilton, the networks enable her to work on two of her passions, creating great events and working with women who are committed to setting their own destiny.
It is often said give a busy person a job and they will get it done and that certainly covers Susan’s life. As well as co-ordinating three successful Her Business networks in Rotorua, Hamilton and Tauranga she is also a wife, mother, business owner / operator, chairperson of Sport BOP (a regional sports trust), community representative with the BOPDHB and board director / trustee with various organizations. She is also helping to establish a new charitable trust to raise money for groups that work in the community to stop violence.
Despite all this activity she is also a firm believer in work / life balance and regularly exercises by running or walking the dog.
Her employment background has included Quality Management and Project Management within Local Government, owning / operating her own business, Hospitality management and the Corporate /Head Office environment.
A keen scholar she also recently completed studies in Business Management with the University of Waikato.
For Susan the Her Business Networks in Rotorua, Tauranga and Hamilton provide an exciting opportunity to have a fabulous programme of speakers and to bring like-minded women together for promotion, empowerment, inspiration and information. She is enthusiastic about empowering women in business and believes successful business can be created from people’s passions.
